PRODUCTION

Damon Stout started in his early teens shooting short films with a buddy using an old Bolex Super 8mm camera and editing on a small Moviola. He was fascinated with how lighting and lenses helped create the world of filmed storytelling. Shortly thereafter Damon realized; visual elements are essential building blocks for a good story, but editing and sound were also major components to telling a compelling narrative. That realization was the spark that led him to learn as many filmmaking vocations as possible.

Many years later and all forms of production and postproduction under his belt, Damon and his fellow Stoutheart producers have come to appreciate the significance of the diagram above and what it means: You can only have two, the third is impossible. A pragmatic mantra to live by for any profession.
